Issue No.15 of the German/English FINE ART PHOTO features my work on twelve pages. This issue is completely dedicated to collodion wet plate photography, containing various portfolios of international photographers, as well as info about getting started, practical application and equipment.

This issue sadly isn't available to buy anymore since the limited stock has been sold out.

The start into the year 2013: A London Stereoscopic Co. LTD camera from 1889 now enriches my equipment for collodion wet plate photography. using two lenses with a separate optical path, it is able to take two perspectively offset images, which together form a three-dimensional image.

The capture format of the relatively small plate camera is 11x16cm. This so-called Cabinet format was very popular in the Victorian period, but at that time stereo recordings were rarely made on wet plates. I would like to follow the tradition of Cabinet nude shots and possibly even work outdoors with it, because the camera is small and mobile enough to be outside the studio, yet still large enough to capture sufficient detail on the plates.

The historical photographic equipment is growing, a new "furniture piece" has moved into our photo studio. A self-built 1:1 replica of the "Century Studio Stand" tripod from the year 1920 now safely carries the 8x10" "Century Studio 4a" large format camera.

This 8x10" Century Studio 4a was on duty in Chicago from 1924 to 2008. Together with the lens, the camera weighs a whopping 17 kg. The camera is used to create collodion wet plate images on 18x24cm glass plates, uniques with a distinctive historical aura.
